Editorial process
All approved manuscripts go through editorial stages until publication.
The first stage consists of the revision of grammar and the journal's standard, including bibliographic citation and plagiarism. At this time, the author can still be contacted to include missing information or clarify divergent parts of the text.
After the layout, the author receives a PDF for review and final approval of the content. The deadline for approval of the PDF by the author is 48 hours. Once this period has elapsed, the content is considered approved, even if the author does not inform approval by email.
LAJEC accepts manuscripts already available as preprints, which, however, go through the peer review phase, like any other manuscript submitted to the journal, and may or may not be accepted after this evaluation.
This journal also supports the Open Science movement, but still does not require research data to be in the public domain. The authors, however, commit to making them available whenever requested.
