Extended Focused Assessment Sonography in Dengue (E-FASD): protocolo de ultrassom point of care para avaliação de pacientes com dengue

A dengue, uma arbovirose endêmica no Brasil, continua a representar um desafio significativo para os sistemas de saúde, especialmente para os Departamentos de Emergência, devido aos seus períodos sazonais de epidemias. A fisiopatologia da doença envolve um complexo processo inflamatório, que pode agravar com o aumento da permeabilidade capilar, o extravasamento plasmático e a hemoconcentração. O ultrassom point-of-care pode ser uma ferramenta valiosa, oferecendo uma série de vantagens, com sua alta sensibilidade para detectar acúmulos de líquidos em diferentes órgãos e cavidades, incluindo a vesícula biliar, além de sua crescente disponibilidade e seu baixo custo. Esse protocolo foi formado a partir de uma extensa revisão integrativa sobre o tema, associada à opinião de especialistas brasileiros sobre o assunto, e visa otimizar o atendimento ao paciente, fornecendo uma abordagem eficiente e direcionada para a avaliação e o monitoramento de complicações em casos suspeitos ou confirmados de dengue, particularmente em contextos de recursos limitados.
